Job Description: Department Overview: The Enterprise Marketing Technology team is responsible for the systems that build a better understanding of our customers and prospective customers so we can connect them with the right message, product, or offer at the right time. We own systems that assist in campaign design, creative content creation, content management hosting, major data analysis platforms, AI, and decision engines that deliver personalized content to every channel mobile, web, ATM, branch, call centers, and more. Job Description As Software Engineer III you will be a solution design leader building technology solutions that increase automation, increase insight and AI driven outcomes, increase usability, and improve marketing's ability to deliver new advice, promotions, and offers to our customers through all channels. You’ll be passionate about understanding how TD creates secure systems that empower our business partners using agile methods, code management tools, automated testing, and deployment pipelines. Whether you’re defining data models and flows, creating a new user interface or back end automation with an AI code assistant, or resolving an issue by looking at monitoring and logging tools and performing root cause analysis, you’ll help us build a more secure, resilient, user friendly, and capable set of tools that helps TD and our marketing business have more meaningful interactions with our customers. About The Team As a valued member of our Software Engineering team, you will: • Lead design: design technology solutions that are stable, secure, and which require minimal day 2 support that meet or exceed business needs and provide meaningful customer experiences. • Be a team leader: provide feedback, listen to suggestions, and help build a stronger software engineering team. • Solve problems efficiently: take a scientific approach to analyzing problems and provide and score various solution options. • Analyze data and build standards: find the common elements between data and the way many processes work to create simplified and more supportable processes and data models that enable greater flexibility. • Never stop learning: actively participate in ongoing training and coaching support as well as technology proof-of-concepts to help you continue to grow and develop in your role. Our team, and specifically this role, is for someone comfortable working from downtown Toronto almost exclusively. Tools will be provided to make working from home possible, but achieving 80% in office attendance is expected. This allows our team to huddle in a room and brainstorm on the whiteboard, to overhear what other teams are doing leading to finding common approaches and reducing wasted effort, and to socialize and build stronger relationships within the pod and beyond. Required: • Undergraduate degree, Postgraduate degree or Technical Certificate • Strong academic background (e.g. computer science, engineering) • Full-stack / build-from-scratch experience • Java, JavaScript, data modeling, and SQL • Graduate degree nice to have • 5-7 years relevant experience Preferred: • Experience in financial services or the marketing technology space • Broad experience across multiple companies and technology stacks Key Technologies: • Java, JavaScript, UX development (React/Angular), SQL, Data Modeling, AI. • Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360) • Salesforce Marketing Cloud • Salesforce Personalization.
